Having suffered a bereavement, and made the funeral arrangements, all whilst trying to cope with the loss of your loved one, the prospect of organising the house clearance, may feel overwhelming. We understand this; our customers often explain how it wears heavily on their emotions, as they try to sort through effects, and, how it can also be quite physically demanding, trying to move furniture, or make the house look more presentable.
The house and garden may have become a burden to your friend or relative in later years, and you may find yourself feeling ashamed, that your relative got into this state, or that you were unable to be around, to help. If this is the case for you, please let us reassure you, that we have seen all manner of situations, with various reasons for houses being in the condition, that they are in. Ill health, depression, loneliness, lack of mobility, poverty, distance from relatives…. all play their part. We do not feel inclined to ever cast judgement. The loss of your loved one, the prospect of organising the house clearance, may feel overwhelming. We understand this; our customers often explain how it wears heavily on their emotions, as they try to sort through effects, and, how it can also be quite physically demanding, trying to move furniture, or make the house look more presentable.
We can assist you in the most sensitive manner by clearing the house partially, or entirely. We can clear all items from the drawers and cupboards and surfaces; clear the furniture from every room; clear the loft and cellar; clear the garage; clear the garden and out-buildings, including all rubbish; dismantle garden sheds if required; and if there are particular items in the house that hold sentiment to you, we will deliver them to you, or other family members. We will make the property look presentable in readiness for sale or transfer, and we can help with making the garden look more presentable. We can clear the property of all contents from any area, including the:
We clear all that you would normally expect to find in a house, garage, loft, garden, greenhouse, shed etc, as well as rubbish and waste, that has accumulated in areas, or all around, if it is a hoarded property. We remove vehicles such as cars, motorbikes, and tractors, as well as mobile homes, caravans, and large farm equipment. We regularly clear upright, and grand pianos from ground floors, and above, too. Our customers often feel that the burden of getting the house cleared, weighs heavily on their mind, but we can take the worry away – making the whole process incredibly easy to deal with. We have many years experience, and very little, poses a challenge.
You were a very nice company to deal with at a really hard time in my life. Everyone was so nice from the ladies I spoke to on the phone, to the chaps who did the work at my brother’s house, to the people I spoke to at the head office. It makes a real difference when you’re feeling down and I can’t thank you enough. Sally and Neil, Redhill
In addition to clearances, we also offer a probate valuation service by an RICS (Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors) valuer, a cleaning service, decorating service, removal service, and a gardening service. Every one of our customers has a unique requirement; we will provide the highest quality service, and tailor it to your exact needs. In providing the complete range of services, we enable you to deal with just one company, in taking the house from ‘lived-in’ to ‘ready for sale/transfer.’
If there are items of significant value in the property, we can advise you, offset the value of them against the cost of the clearance, or place them through our sale. Alternatively, if you wish to sell items, yourself, such as general household furniture and appliances, we can advise you on their probable worth. Should we come across unexpected items, of high-end value as the quote is carried out, we will photograph the item/s and have our specialist valuer cast an eye over them, so that we can provide you with an estimated sale price.
Should you live at distance from the property, or are unable to meet with us, due to work or family commitments,we can collect the keys from your estate agent, e-mail quotes and invoices, and process payments by debit/credit card, over the phone. It is not essential that you meet with us – we can deal with everything, following your initial enquiry – you can leave the whole responsibility of preparing the house for sale, with us. Our post clearance services may be of particular interest to you, also.
Post clearance services provided:
Hoovering and dusting

Some of our customers, prefer not to be there whilst the clearance is in progress, whereas others choose to stay. In either situation we very much like to talk about your relative, whom we are clearing the house after; we always have time to listen. We are sympathetic and would like to assure you, that your loved ones effects will be removed from the house with care, and in a respectful way. We see household effects as part of someone’s history, that were once chosen with time and care. It’s part of our work ethic to be mindful, and respectful of that.
“Lin and I are pleased we asked you to do the work because of the care you took, and the sympathetic way you dealt with us., Thank you again, we wish you both well.” Graham & Lin, Dorking
We hope it offers comfort, that many items collected, over the course of our work, are sent to communities in third world countries. Clean beds, clothes, toys, and educational books, are so appreciated, in the impoverished areas of Sri Lanka and Sierra Leone. We store re-usable items in our warehouses, where they await collection and transport, abroad. We do not sell the items on; the transport of bulk loads is all done voluntarily, for free; and every item is received the other end with gratitude, and a hope that it will provide them with a brighter future. We became disillusioned with UK organisations, and felt that their focus had gone awry; in the direction of achieving large director salaries. For this reason, we feel very fortunate to be involved with the passing on of your items, to those who are most at need, and where money never changes hands in the course of the transfer.
