Environment Agency Registration Number EAN / 964257

AAA House Clearance are committed to helping the environment wherever possible. As a symbol of our committment we are registered with the Environment Agency (please see our certificate and registration no. above) and have carried out in-depth research as to the most effective ways of recycling and re-using, which in turn, on some scale, helps in the reduction of carbon emissions.

Recycle We can recycle any quantity of:

  • Paper or Cardboard
  • Metal
  • Ceramics
  • Wood
  • Glass

Smaller quantities of such materials are not accepted by larger recycling companies however, so we have found alternative ways of recycling and re-using what we collect from the more common type of clearance work that we do.

  • Clothes can be sold or re-used by a variety of charities that we are in contact with.
  • Ornaments, glassware, some crockery, and books etc. are given to charities and sanctuaries to be sold at their fund-raising events.
  • Blankets, bedding and towels are all welcomed by the long-term residents at our own animal sanctuary that our family runs from home. We help a number of dogs that we fetch back from Greece, and they especially, benefit from the blankets and anything comfortable that they can lay on.
  • Most green grden waste will be much appreciated by the goats at our sanctuary who really will eat virtually anything! With their help, it reduces the amount of garden waste that has to be dealt with at the commercial tip.
  • When items can not be re-used because they are damaged, broken, or simply have no value at all, they can often be recycled through local amenity site fascilities.

It is in everyone's interest for us to find as many ways as possible to recycle and re-use. It helps the environment, it helps charities and sanctuaries who can sell or make use of what we pass onto them, it helps you to save money by reducing the tipping charge, and it helps us to deal with what we collect in ways that often directly benefit someone or something else.
